HOW WE CALCULATE POINTS 2007 & 2008

Every month, on or about the 15th, we receive a Junior Showmanship report (compliments of Pedigree) from the American Kennel Club. This report contains every kennel club that had a junior show entry with classes and placements listed for the past month. From this report (with Best Junior points and show site state manually added) we extract all our statistics. Please allow 2-3 days for us to process the statistics and update the website.

Described below is how each list/category is derived and the particulars involved with each.

*** Exception to Note: Limited/Invitational Junior Competitions will not be included in 2007 statistics.

CORRECTIONS: All statistical corrections for Jan'08 - Dec'08 must be made before January 30, 2009, after which time, no adjustments will be made on the '08 standings.

Here is the  link  to the AKC site to check show results.  J
ust type in the show, or change the time range to the whole month and hit search. There is no excuse to not keep track of your show record, as the AKC has updated the Junior Show results to show the individual class entry and total Junior entry.

The events search uses the same data base from which our electronic report is derived, so any errors in the results will be carried over to our report.

I can not stress this enough:  IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH INDIVIDUAL JUNIOR TO MAINTAIN Their OWN SHOW RECORD and not rely solely on BestJunior to do this for you, Your cooperation in this matter will ensure accurate statistics for year end rankings and the correct  presentation of rosettes.
